Is it really free?
Yes. One person and one space get the whole system, memory, archive and search included. You pay your model provider directly, or run a model on your own hardware.
Which AI models can I use?
Any model: an API key from any major provider, your Grok or X subscription, or Ollama on your own hardware. Switch at any time, even mid-conversation.
Can I use my Claude or ChatGPT subscription?
Technically yes, but we do not recommend it yet. Anthropic and OpenAI do not allow their consumer subscriptions in other apps, and using them can get your account banned. We are working on support within their terms.
Where does my data go?
What it knows stays in your own database, on your own machine. Your model provider receives the conversation, and your chat platform carries the messages. Each service you connect receives what it needs.
Can it damage anything on my machine?
You decide what it can reach. Sandboxed or isolated execution puts boundaries around its commands: which files, services and resources they can access.
Can’t I just use an open-source harness?
You can, and it starts in minutes. Then you choose, install and manage independent extensions. You integrate them, as far as they allow. You have to create connectors for your services. Finally, you have to build and maintain your own system of agent files, skills and triggers.
Can’t I just use a cloud AI product?
You can, and it is ready when you sign up. It will lock you into the provider’s ecosystem. You cannot change the integrations, add custom extensions or change the model settings. When it does not work, you are stuck.
What do I need to run it?
A Linux or Mac machine, and a model provider or your own model. One line installs it. Your agent is online whenever your machine is.
What happens to what it learned if I leave?

Is it open source?
No, it is licensed software. It runs entirely on your own infrastructure and extends through our open RPC protocol. The source stays closed because AI could copy nine months of engineering in a day.
